Liftra has agreed with EOS Engineering & Service Co., Ltd. (Japan) to deliver an LT1000 Liftra Self-Hoisting Crane in Japan. This will be the first Self-Hoisting Crane in Asia.
CEO Per Fenger and Product Group Manager Mikael Thorndal Madsen met with EOS Engineering Director Mr. Hiroo Akabane and others to sign the agreement at the AWEA WindPower 2018 exhibition in Chicago. With the technology, EOS Engineering & Service Co., Ltd. looks to improve efficiency on major component replacement business.
“We owe a big thanks to Mr. Akabane and his team, and I want to congratulate them on their decision. For Liftra, this is an exciting step as we bring our technology to Asia,” says Liftra CEO Per Fenger.
The Liftra Self-Hoisting Crane is a universal device used for replacing major components without conventional cranes involved. It is transported by a single truck in a standard 40-foot container and requires no extensive preparation of the site.
Nine Self-Hoisting Cranes are currently in operation in the USA and Canada, while one is available for service jobs in Europe. In total, more than 300 gearbox replacements have been performed by Self-Hoisting Cranes.
